Seven Seas shared the Vol. 11 cover for The Husky & His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun, a danmei series by author Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (a.k.a. Meatbun). [Source: Twitter/X, Bluesky] This is also the finale of the long-running series.
St has provided the cover and interior illustrations for the entire series, and returns to do the same for Vol. 11. St is also the cover/interior artist for Husky‘s prequel series Remnants of Filth, as well as Tang Jiu Qing’s Ballad of Sword and Wine.
Vol. 11 is the final volume of the long-running Husky series, which began English release in November 2022. Husky was among the earliest danmei series released by Seven Seas, being the first series announced after the MXTX trio hit store shelves. The main storyline concludes in Vol. 10 and Vol. 11 continues with Husky‘s many extras. It also includes a new afterword from the series author that is exclusive to the English edition. To date, Husky is the longest danmei series that Seven Seas has completed publishing.

Seven Seas announced a Special Edition for the volume, which will include postcards, a poster, a bookmark, a sticker sheet, and a papercraft standee. The associated artists will be revealed on the volume’s release date (March 24, 2026). As with all of Seven Seas’ danmei special editions, they are limited to a single print run and will not be available for purchase again after stock is sold out.
The promotional image (see right) promises 6 postcards, which caused some Twitter/X users to request further information—when a Seven Seas Danmei release receives postcards with its finale volume, the cards generally feature art from every previous volume’s covers. Husky‘s eleven volumes would necessitate more than six postcards unless they are printed double-sided, making them unusable as postcards as well as making it difficult for those who want to use the cards as display pieces. Seven Seas has yet to provide public clarification on the subject.
Seven Seas proves the following volume summary:
TWO LIFETIMES, FOREVER YOURS
The great battle between worlds is over, but Mo Ran and Chu Wanning’s story continues with birthday celebrations, missing sweets, and matchmaking scrolls.
Chu Wanning’s birthday is fast approaching, and Mo Ran is on the hunt for the perfect present to express his love. What he doesn’t expect is for his greatest competition in gift-giving to be his other self, Taxian-jun! Once a group of mischievous rice-cake spirits get involved, taking the battle from mundane to magical, chaos is bound to ensue.
Then, Xue Meng tries out a trendy magical device meant to match cultivators with their true love. But why do so many of his potential dates seem…strangely familiar? When Xue Meng’s disastrous love life threatens to cause mayhem throughout the cultivation realm, only the Mei twins—and a few old friends—can get him out of his predicament.
Featuring an exclusive new afterword from Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou.
The Husky & His White Cat Shizun Vol. 11 is scheduled for a March 24, 2026 release, in both print and digital. Seven Seas’ initial announcement posts on Twitter/X and Bluesky incorrectly list “March 2025” as the listed release, but they acknowledge the error in replies and the date is correct on their website and retailer sites.

The Husky & His White Cat Shizun (二哈和他的白猫师尊) is a danmei novel series written by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou, also known as Meatbun Doesn’t Eat Meat (or just “Meatbun” for short). It began serialization on jjwxc in 2017 and ran for 311 chapters (plus 39 Extras). It has inspired a number of adaptations, including a manhua (which has been discontinued), an audio drama (which has also received a Japanese dub), and an unreleased live-action known by the title Immortality.
Seven Seas provides the following series synopsis:
Cruel tyrant Taxian-jun killed his way to the throne and now reigns as the first ever emperor of the mortal realm. Yet somehow, he is unsatisfied. Left cold and bereft, abandoned by all he held dear, he takes his own life…only to be reborn anew.
Awakening in the body of his younger self—Mo Ran, a disciple of the cultivation sect Sisheng Peak—he discovers the chance to relive his life. This time, he vows to attain the gratification that once eluded him: all who defied him will fall, and never again will they treat him like a dog. His greatest fury is reserved for Chu Wanning, the coldly beautiful and aloofly catlike cultivation teacher who betrayed and thwarted Mo Ran time and again in their last life.
Yet as Mo Ran shamelessly pursues his own goals in this life he thought lost, he begins to wonder if there might be more to his teacher—and his own feelings—than he ever realized.
Meatbun is the author of two other popular danmei available from Seven Seas in English: Remnants of Filth (which is a prequel to Husky) and Case File Compendium.
