When Lu Bixing—an eccentric scientist from The Wastes—stumbles upon a drifting lifepod in deep space, he does the unthinkable: he opens it. Inside lies a man, malnourished and paralysed, yet unmistakably alive. From that moment, an unspoken bond takes root between them.
