Hai Tang Books and Kinokuniya partnered for the first time to release an exclusive special edition for Mist Vol. 1, an unlimited flow sci-fi danmei by Wei Feng Ji Xu. (Source: Twitter/X [1, 2])
The Kinokuniya edition of Mist Vol. 1 will include a rainbow-laminated dust jacket that is currently exclusive to the retailer, a foiled stamp, and a shikishi featuring the author’s pre-printed autograph. It is also available in both the Retail Set and Bundle Set variants (with their respective freebies) that were offered through Hai Tang’s preorders.
Kinokuniya has partnered with other danmei publishers in the past to bring exclusive editions to their shelves, including Aloha Comics’s release of the Little Mushroom manhua, Inklore’s release of the Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua, and Aloha Comics’s release of the Heaven Official’s Blessing donghua artbook.
Mist Vol. 1 is scheduled for release in early August 2026. Kinokuniya stated their exclusive edition will also release during this period, but buyers who visited their booth at Anime Expo 2026 were able to purchase early copies.
