Via Lactea initially revealed the series on Valentine’s Day 2026. Although originally written in Chinese, the series is being serialized in English first as a publisher exclusive. Chapters will be available to read on Via Lactea’s Patreon. Those who subscribe to the Patreon will be able to follow the story live, with new chapters promised every Tuesday and Friday at 10 AM EST. Subscribers will also have the opportunity to chat with the author in the comments.
This is an industry first method of serialization, and may prompt more danmei authors and publishers to explore similar options. In a Twitter/X reply, Via Lactea indicated their interest in further collaborations with more authors.
Gu Xue Rou, also known by the names Fei Tian Ye Xiang and Arise Zhang, is a prolific and popular author. Many of his danmei works have been released by Seven Seas Entertainment, such as Dinghai Fusheng Records, Legend of Exorcism, and Riverbay Road Men’s Dormitory. Via Lactea is also currently releasing To Rule In A Turbulent World.
