The translation is credited to H. Qing, who previously produced a popular fan translation for the series. Hai Tang announced they would be partnering with H. Qing during their initial license reveal for the series in February 2025. After Hai Tang’s contentious dismissal of the original translation teams for Guide on How to Fail at Online Dating and I Can Do It, it serves as a relief to fans of A Certain Someone that the well-regarded translator remains on the work.
A Certain Someone Vol. 1’s Retail Set is priced at $24.99 USD, and the Bundle Set is priced at $39.99 USD. Both sets come with a variety of freebies. The Retail Set includes a printed signature postcard, three character photos, and a notebook with a set of sticky index tabs. The Bundle Set includes all items from the Retail Set, and adds a two-layer acrylic standee.
The volume also features a PVC dust jacket paired with a flex cover. Book preorders will also have a special printed edge finish which will not be offered on reprints.
