Seven Seas shared a sneak peek at the Special Edition merch for Vol. 11 of The Husky & His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun, a danmei series by author Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (a.k.a. Meatbun). This is the finale of the long-running series. [Source: Twitter/X, Bluesky]
The final volume’s Special Edition will include postcards, a poster, a bookmark, a sticker sheet, and a papercraft standee. The associated artists will be revealed on the volume’s release date (March 24, 2026). As with all of Seven Seas’ danmei special editions, they are limited to a single print run and will not be available for purchase again after stock is sold out. Seven Seas usually offers Special Editions for the first volumes of select danmei series, though prior to mid-2024 they would instead offer them for select series’ final volumes. The Husky & His White Cat Shizun entered production before this process change, and thus its Special Edition is being released with its last volume.
St has provided the cover and interior illustrations for the entire series, and returns to do the same for Vol. 11. St is also the cover/interior artist for Husky’s prequel series Remnants of Filth.
The promotional image (see right) promised 6 postcards, which caused some Twitter/X users to request further information upon original announcement in Sept 2025—when a Seven Seas Danmei release receives postcards with its finale volume, the cards generally feature art from every volume’s covers. Husky’s eleven volumes would necessitate more than six postcards unless printed double-sided, which would make the postcards unusable as postcards as well as make it difficult for those who want to use the cards as display pieces. This announcement was Seven Seas’ first public confirmation that the postcards are indeed double-sided.
Vol. 11 is the final volume of the long-running Husky series, which began English release in November 2022. It was among the earliest danmei released by Seven Seas, being the first series announced after the MXTX trio hit store shelves. The main storyline concludes in Vol. 10 and Vol. 11 continues with the series extras, and also includes a new afterword from the author that is exclusive to the English edition. To date, Husky is the longest danmei that Seven Seas has completed publishing.
Seven Seas provides the following volume summary:

Additional Context
Husky‘s Special Edition preview went live on March 2, 2026, shortly after news broke that Seven Seas—a previously independent publisher—had been bought by Media Do. Media Do is a Japanese book distributor that heavily invests in and uses AI for translation, lettering, and other parts of the book production process, and at the time had indicated their plans to apply their practices to Seven Seas’ manga library. This announcement was received with dismay by not only danmei fans, but also fans of Japanese light novels and manga.
Neither Seven Seas nor Media Do had made statements to address the public’s concerns when the preview for Husky‘s Special Edition was originally posted, and many fans on Twitter/X and Bluesky perceived it as an attempt to ignore the outcry. Although Media Do have since promised to not use AI in future Seven Seas book production, Husky‘s Special Edition preview had a chilly reception due to its unfortunate timing.
The Husky & His White Cat Shizun
二哈和他的白猫师尊

[Synopsis Provided by Seven Seas Entertainment:]
Cruel tyrant Taxian-jun killed his way to the throne and now reigns as the first ever emperor of the mortal realm. Yet somehow, he is unsatisfied. Left cold and bereft, abandoned by all he held dear, he takes his own life…only to be reborn anew.
Awakening in the body of his younger self—Mo Ran, a disciple of the cultivation sect Sisheng Peak—he discovers the chance to relive his life. This time, he vows to attain the gratification that once eluded him: all who defied him will fall, and never again will they treat him like a dog. His greatest fury is reserved for Chu Wanning, the coldly beautiful and aloofly catlike cultivation teacher who betrayed and thwarted Mo Ran time and again in their last life.
Yet as Mo Ran shamelessly pursues his own goals in this life he thought lost, he begins to wonder if there might be more to his teacher—and his own feelings—than he ever realized.
The Husky & His White Cat Shizun (二哈和他的白猫师尊) is a danmei novel by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (also known as Meatbun Doesn’t Eat Meat, or just “Meatbun” for short). It began serialization in 2017 and ran for 311 chapters (plus 39 Extras), and was previously available to read in Chinese on JJWXC.
The series has received a discontinued manhua adaptation, an audio drama adaptation (Chinese/Japanese dub), and an unreleased live-action adaptation known as Immortality.
