Twin Jades of Jiangdong is historical fiction loosely based around the tragic lives of the real-life figures Zhou Yu and Sun Ce, who lived during the late Han dynasty in the Three Kingdoms period. Their life and relationship was most famously dramatized in the 14th-century novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong, and more recently dramatized in the video game series Dynasty Warriors by game publisher Koei. Author Fei Tian Ye Xiang has written many other popular danmei works that have been released in English, including Legend of Exorcism, Dinghai Fusheng Records, and To Rule in a Turbulent World.
