Seven Seas revealed the cover for Vol. 6 of Case File Compendium: Bing An Ben, a danmei novel series by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (a.k.a. Meatbun).
The cover and interior illustrations are provided by Wil, who is also known for their work involving the Korean BL series Passion. This marks the first time Seven Seas has revealed the new artist they will be working with for the rest of the Case File series. The previous art team (Boki , 玉不修, and DanKe) left the project after Vol. 5 due to a dispute between Boki and Seven Seas. (Publicly known details on the matter are discussed here.) Fans on Twitter/X and Bluesky expressed their sadness at the previous team’s departure, but showed much excitement toward the newest cover—especially its bold choice to feature an infamously racy scene from the volume in question.
