Publisher Inklore is a new face on the danmei scene, and made quite an entrance when they announced their license for an English print edition of the Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua. While the license was initially teased via Twitter/X on June 2, 2025, it was officially revealed the following day.
The Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua, illustrated by STARember, is a full-color comic adaptation of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s danmei novel of the same name. Released in the webtoon format—with panels laid out in a long vertical format intended for reading on mobile devices—it began serialization in 2019 on Bilibili Comics where it gained a large following thanks to its beautiful artwork as well as what many fans praised as faithful storytelling. The series was translated to English on the now defunct (as of 2024) English arm of Bilibili, Bilibili Comics. In October 2024, webtoon publisher Lezhin announced they had digitally licensed the series. Lezhin currently has all of season 1, totaling 101 chapters/episodes, available to digitally purchase.
Heaven Official’s Blessing (The Comic) Vol. 1 release is slated for December 2, 2025—a mere six months away—indicating that Inklore has been working on this project behind the scenes for some time in order to get the book fully ready for release with little wait. Preorders were already live on several major sites at time of announcement, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Inklore will be releasing Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua in hardcover, with the individual volumes featuring sprayed edges, custom endpapers, deluxe jackets, and custom case stamps with gold foil. They will also feature a printed signature from artist STARember. The official release from Inklore specifics that these embellishments are for the first edition, meaning that later reprints could have fewer or none of the aforementioned print features. Volume one will include the prologue and episodes 1–14.
Inklore (official site) is a U.S.-based publisher that launched in 2023 as an imprint of Random House Worlds, which specializes in the publication of licensed work. Their primary focus is on comics and graphic novels. The Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua is their first work of Chinese origin, though they have previously worked on both Japanese manga and Korean manhwa. Other works they are currently releasing include Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe, My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 by Mashiro, and Wet Sand by DOYAK.
DanmeiNews recently published a writeup of the challenges the Heaven Official’s Blessing manhua has faced over the course of its serialization. It is a relief to see the series make it to store shelves in the English-speaking sphere, and one hopes that this is a sign of more danmei series to come.
Another manhua adaptation of Heaven Official’s Blessing, which uses screencaps from the animated series (donghua), is currently being released by Aloha Comics. The original novel series is licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment, who is rereleasing the series in hardcover format after publishing a complete eight-volume run as paperbacks.

Heaven Official’s Blessing (天官赐福, also known as Tian Guan Ci Fu or TGCF) is a danmei series written by best-selling author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (MXTX). The series began serialization on jjwxc in 2017 and ran for 244 chapters (plus 8 extra chapters).
