GoodSmileUS recently announced a restock of their Yiling Patriarch Wei Wuxian Nendoroid, from the hit danmei series Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. The last restock of this figure took place in 2022, so this newfound availability is surely welcomed with the recent release of the donghua on Crunchyroll.
The figures are available to purchase through the GoodSmileUS site at time of writing. It seems this restock currently only applies to GoodSmileUS, as the Japanese version of the site still lists the figure as out of stock. The restock also only applies to the Yiling Patriarch Wei Wuxian Nendoroid at this time, meaning that Lan Wangji and the Mo Xuanyu version of Wei Wuxian are still awaiting their time in the re-release sun.
The figure is priced at $61.99 USD, which is on the higher end of the Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid pricing scale. This may be due to the array of accessories that the figure comes with: three swappable face plates, the flute Chenqing, the Yin Tiger Tally (listed in Good Smile’s description as the “Stygian Tiger Seal” to match the official English donghua subs), and—most important of all—a bunny.

This Nendoroid is just one example of the Good Smile Company’s vast array of merch from Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation and MXTX’s other two works. They’ve even dabbled in other danmei series, such as this figure from Tang Jiu Qing’s Ballad of Sword and Wine.

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi (魔道祖师) is a danmei novel series written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (also known as MXTX). It began serialization on jjwxc in 2015 and ran for 113 chapters (plus 13 extra chapters). It has inspired numerous adaptations, including a donghua, a completed Chinese manhua, an ongoing Japanese manga, an audio drama (dubbed in Chinese and Japanese), a Japanese stage play, and a live-action (known as The Untamed).

The powerful necromancer Wei Wuxian, despised across the land, awakens in a stranger’s body thirteen years after his death. He is drawn into a supernatural murder-mystery and must investigate alongside the straitlaced Lan Wangji, with whom he shares a very tangled past.
Seven Seas announced in 2021 that they had acquired the license to publish the work’s manhua adaptation, and have been steadily releasing volumes since. Starting in October 2025, they will also be re-releasing the five novel volumes in hardcover format.
Mo Xiang Tong Xiu has also written two other hit danmei series that are available in English: The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System (人渣反派自救系统) and Heaven Official’s Blessing (天官赐福).
