Seven Seas revealed the cover for the first volume of Thrice Married to a Salted Fish, a danmei novel series by Bi Ka Bi. They also announced that the volume will be receiving a Special Edition with exclusive merch.
The cover art for the English edition is by illustrator Mio (@taemintbonbon), and the interiors will be provided by Mulliga K (@MulligaK_illust).
The Thrice Married to a Salted Fish Vol. 1 Special Edition comes with postcards, a poster, a bookmark, and a sticker sheet; all with art unique to the release. The associated artists will be revealed on the volume’s release date (Nov. 11, 2025). As with all of Seven Seas’ danmei special editions, they are limited to a single print run and will not be available for purchase again after stock is sold out.
Seven Seas releases Special Editions for the first volumes of select danmei series only—previously, they would release them with every danmei series’ final volume. Seven Seas has not publicly disclosed how they determine which series receive this treatment, but it may be decided in part by projected sales numbers and fan reaction.

Thrice Married to a Salted Fish (三嫁咸鱼) is a danmei series written by Bi Ka Bi. It began serialization on JJWXC in 2021 and ran for 119 chapters, with 30 Extras. It has inspired an audio drama adaptation.
Regarding the series name, a “salted fish” is a Chinese metaphor for a corpse, but is also slang for a lazy, unmotivated person; both descriptions which suit the story’s love interest. Seven Seas chose to not adjust the original Chinese title to something more immediately understandable to English readers, perhaps hoping to rely on the existing fandom’s name recognition to build buyer momentum.
