Seven Seas shared the Vol. 9 cover of their upcoming English edition of The Husky & His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun, a danmei novel by author Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou (a.k.a. Meatbun).

Artist St (Twitter/X, Bluesky) returns as the series artist and provides both the cover and interior black and white illustrations. St provides the art for the sibling Meatbun work Remnants of Filth, which is set in the same universe as Husky, and also provides covers and illustrations for Ballad of Sword and Wine.
Seven Seas proves the following volume summary:
HELL IS TOO COLD
Mo Ran awakens in the prison at Tianyin Pavilion, the subject of scorn and ridicule as he awaits trial for his crimes. At worst, his souls will be torn apart, never to re-enter the cycle of reincarnation. At best, Tianyin Pavilion will dig out his shattered spiritual core in the name of justice. In either case, he is unlikely to survive.
Far away on Mount Jiao, Chu Wanning, too, has awakened with the memories of two lifetimes and more: The truth of how Mo Ran became infected with the curse that poisoned his heart in the past lifetime. Distraught, he rushes to Mo Ran’s rescue, hoping to clear his name in time to save his life.
As the cultivation realm assembles to decide Mo Ran’s fate, Hua Binan and Taxian-jun lurk in the shadows, waiting for the final piece of their nightmarish plan to fall into place—a plan that, if allowed to come to fruition, stands to sunder two worlds.
The Husky & His White Cat Shizun Vol. 9 is priced at $19.99 USD and is scheduled for a July 8, 2025 release, in both print and digital.

The Husky & His White Cat Shizun (二哈和他的白猫师尊) is a danmei novel series written by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou, also known as Meatbun Doesn’t Eat Meat (or just “Meatbun” for short). It began serialization on jjwxc in 2017 and ran for 311 chapters (plus 39 Extras). It has inspired a number of adaptations, including a manhua (which has been discontinued), an audio drama (which has also received a Japanese dub), and an unreleased live-action known by the title Immortality.
Seven Seas provides the following series synopsis:
Cruel tyrant Taxian-jun killed his way to the throne and now reigns as the first ever emperor of the mortal realm. Yet somehow, he is unsatisfied. Left cold and bereft, abandoned by all he held dear, he takes his own life…only to be reborn anew.
Awakening in the body of his younger self—Mo Ran, a disciple of the cultivation sect Sisheng Peak—he discovers the chance to relive his life. This time, he vows to attain the gratification that once eluded him: all who defied him will fall, and never again will they treat him like a dog. His greatest fury is reserved for Chu Wanning, the coldly beautiful and aloofly catlike cultivation teacher who betrayed and thwarted Mo Ran time and again in their last life.
Yet as Mo Ran shamelessly pursues his own goals in this life he thought lost, he begins to wonder if there might be more to his teacher—and his own feelings—than he ever realized.
Meatbun is the author of two other popular English danmei available from Seven Seas: Remnants of Filth (which is a prequel to Husky) and Case File Compendium.
