Rosmei shared multiple updates for their upcoming release of priest’s danmei novel series Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire, including the cover designs for Vols. 2-5. They also announced they have opened a Bluesky account.
The metallic paper used for the title page will be limited to the first edition / print run. This is not the first time Rosmei has offered unique features on first-run works, as they offered similar perks on the first run of Nan Chan.
Rosmei also announced changes to the series’ translation team. Their initial announcement in October 2023 indicated that SassyStrawberry would be the only translator on the work, but two additional translators (Golden Pavilion and Yog) are now assisting.
Quoting Rosmei’s original Twitter/X post:
The project has come a long way since its initial licensing in October 2023. Our translation team now consists of Golden Pavilion, Yog, and SassyStrawberry.
After further discussion, we wish to acknowledge the individual contributions of the translation team and provide the following update to the translation credits.
Translators:
Vol 1: Golden Pavilion, Yog (Chapter 3-4)
Vol 2, 3: Yog
Vol 4, 5: SassyStrawberry
We’d also like to take this opportunity to assure our readers that maintaining consistency across volumes is a top priority for us at Rosmei. The same editorial team will oversee the entire project to ensure both quality and uniformity.
