Crunchyroll recently acquired streaming rights for the donghua adaptation Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Mo Dao Zu Shi, also known as The Master of Diabolism. Only the first two seasons (out of three total) were initially available on the site, but thankfully Crunchyroll has released the third and final season of the original donghua. Fans new and old alike can now experience a complete edition of an excellent adaptation.
In addition to this, Crunchyroll has also made the spin-off gag series Master of Diabolism Q available to viewers. This 30-episode series plays out as a series of five-minute shorts in chibi/cute style, and allows fans to experience beloved book scenes that didn’t make it into the main donghua.

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (魔道祖师) is a smash hit danmei series that began serialization on jjwxc in 2015 and ran for 113 chapters (plus 13 extra chapters). It has inspired numerous adaptations, including the donghua discussed in this article, a manhua, an ongoing Japanese manga, an audio drama, and a live-action known as The Untamed.
