Seven Seas has revealed the cover for Volume 3 of their upcoming danmei series, You’ve Got Mail: The Perils of Pigeon Post – Fei Ge Jiao You Xu Jin Shen. The cover art is from the series’ original Chinese release, and is credited to Leila. The interior art is exclusive to the English release, and is credited to Ninemoon.
The release of this series has been marred by controversy due to offensive comments made by its author Blackegg on her personal Plurk. DanmeiNews has provided a writeup of the matter here. [Content warning: homophobia, transphobia, racism.] The author has never issued an apology for or retraction of her comments, nor has Seven Seas ever publicly addressed the issue on its official channels. Despite loud and continued outcry from fans that they would not support the series due to its author’s hateful views, Seven Seas is continuing with its planned release of the books.
