Ringdoll Launches Special Re-release of Hualian BJDs for the Heaven Official’s Blessing Donghua Fourth Anniversary

Balljoint doll design and production company Ringdoll announced that they will re-release their Hua Cheng and Xie Lian dolls to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Heaven Official’s Blessing donghua. The pre-order period spans from October 31 to November 30, 2024. These exquisite figures are quite rare (and even more expensive) on the secondhand market, so collectors may want to jump on the chance while they still can.

There are five available dolls to choose from: Xie Lian’s donghua design, Xie Lian’s manhua design, Xie Lian in his full crown prince regalia (donghua design), Hua Cheng’s donghua design, and Hua Cheng’s manhua design. The manhua designs are based off STARember’s work on the official comic.

Ringdoll also produced several BJDs for Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which was also written by MXTX; the author of the original Heaven Official’s Blessing novel. (See, for example: Wei Wuxian as the Yiling Patriarch, and Lan Wangji in all his considerable splendor.) Unfortunately, those dolls are not included in this promotion, so collectors will have to remain hopeful.

Ringdoll has a fully functional English-language site and accepts most standard methods of payment, and will also ship internationally. Right now, this promotion is only available by buying directly from Ringdoll’s site, or by using a forwarding service to do so on your behalf. Most of their official dealers once did orders through their respective sites for the dolls’ original releases, but none of them appear to be doing so for this specific re-release.

Like all BJDs, the Hualian Ringdolls are quite the investment; with the cheapest option priced at $650 USD. Sticker shock aside, those prices aren’t unwarranted. These dolls boast incredible workmanship and detail, and are also enormous — Xie Lian’s donghua design is the smallest and clocks in at 59.6 cm / almost two feet tall, and Hua Cheng’s comic design towers at 78 cm / over two and a half feet tall. If you want a truly deluxe piece of Heaven Official’s Blessing merch to show off to your friends, these Ringdolls will certainly do the trick.
